IBC in Applied Arts

This morning we were browsing the latest issue of Applied Arts Magazine and were pleasantly surprised when we saw ourselves mentioned in Frank Lenk’s Tech Talk column. He talks about “rapidly proliferating designer blogs”, mentioning Michael Surtees’ design*notes, Errol Saldahnha’s brandingbranding blog, US-based Speak Up and ours. About our blog Lenk comments:
Most of the posts give an informal perspective on projects that Industrial Brand has undertaken, acting as a lively promo for its business.
This isn’t entirely accurate (although the irony of this entry has not escaped us). While we do include mentions of activities and occasionally projects we are involved in, the main purpose of our blog is two-fold: to present the things we find cool and interesting, essentially, sharing what inspires us (the Zeitgeist section), and to communicate news and articles related to our activities and industry (the Broadcast section). Regardless, blogging has, in a very short period of time, given rise to numerous voices that would otherwise be limited to a very small audiece. It’s also great to receive recognition in the media and elsewhere for our efforts.
